Tourist Attraction In Hong Kong


1. PEAK TRAM

Peak Tram is 1.4 kilometers long cable car linking the central region of Hong Kong with the Peak Tower is located approximately 150 meters below the summit of Mount Victoria. Travel as high as 45 degrees climb up a hill with amazing views of the north coast of Hong Kong, Victoria Harbour, Kowloon and charming. Peak Tram which was first operated in 1888 was the first mechanical means of public transport in Hong Kong and the world's steepest cable car. When first run, the Peak Tram is the only means of transportation to the summit in addition to litter and horse and carriage. Tram was originally using steam, then converted to use electric power since 1926. Until the 1960s there were two types of tickets, one for the nobility and the other for the servants. The train that we see and use today is the tram riding two first introduced in 1989, with each train with a capacity of 120 passengers (95 seated and 25 standing). In moments of quiet only one train is being operated.

Peak Tram operates from 7 am to midnight every day with intervals of 10 to 15 minutes.


Garden Road Peak Tram Lower Terminus which is located can be easily found by going to the Bank of China tower that stands out (glass tower with a very distinctive geometric forms and the 'forks' which rises from the top of the tower). Adjacent to the tower of the Bank of China there is a box-shaped structures such as high by the name of Cheung Kong Centre and between the two buildings is Garden Road. Lower Peak Tram Terminus is located on the left side of the road near the tower Citibank Garden Road and encountered the first red light.


Nearest MTR station is Central Station and Admiralty. From MTR Central Station exit at Exit K. Exit J2 or Exit J2 Chater Garden to the tower where the Bank of China can be seen clearly. Exit K to Statue Square, located across from the HSBC building and on the left can be seen the tower Bank of China. From Admiralty MTR Station exit at exit C1 and crossed the bridge over the Queensway towards Pacific Place. Arriving at Pacific Place use the escalator on the right that runs next to the shopping center. Climb up to reach the highest peaks and crossed the road to Hong Kong Park and then follow the instructions from the Hong Kong Park to Lower Peak Tram Terminus. Or use the 15C bus with open roof of the Central Star Ferry Pier Terminus to the Lower Peak or vice versa, before continuing to ride the Peak Tram.

In the Lower Peak Tram Terminus Octopus Card owners do not need to queue at the counter but can be queued on the platform directly. This is very advantageous especially at peak hours, such as on weekends and vacation timeBesides using the Peak Tram, we can directly go to the Peak Tower, using the city bus from the Central Pier, and vice versa. City bus number 15 operates with a time interval of 10 to 15 minutes each day from the Central Star Ferry Pier Terminus to the Peak Tower and vice versa. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes through a winding road. For a complete experience, use the Peak Tram to the Peak Tower and return to Central using the Bus 15.

2. OCEAN PARK

Located near Aberdeen on the southern island of Hong Kong, Ocean Park opened in 1977 and is the first amusement park in Hong Kong. In the last five years, Ocean Park experienced a surge of visitors to reach 5 million people, so it makes the fifteen most visited recreation areas in the world. In addition to the amusement park, Ocean Park is also home to marine life conservation, research, and educational facilities are important. Program for the development and expansion of the park began in 2006 and is planned to be completed in 2012/13 which will expand the park and also the number of attractions on offer.

Ocean Park has a special transportation service Bus service 629 from MTR Admiralty Station Exit B, outside Lippo Centre located at Drake Street, Hong Kong Island. Buses run every 10-15 minutes, starting from 09.00 till 16.00 every day. The trip takes approximately 25 minutes. The last bus from Ocean Park to Admiralty depart 19.00 (Tai Shue Wan entrance) and 19:05 hours (main entrance).

In addition, bus route 629 also serves the Ocean Park from Central Ferry Pier 7 (Star Ferry Pier), at 09:35, 09:55, 10:15, 10:35, and 10:55. These services also pass through Exchange Square Bus Station (MTR Central Station Exit A) and Bus Station Admiralty. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes.

629 Bus trip ends at Tai Shue Wan entrance and did not stop at the main entrance to the north. If we want to enter the park through the main entrance, there is a free Shuttle Bus service 888 which serves both the entrance. Meanwhile from Ocean Park, Bus 629 departs from Tai Shue Wan entrance and stop at the main entrance.


Ocean Park near the entrance / exit tunnel on the outskirts of Aberdeen Aberdeen. There are many buses from the Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and areas of Kowloon and New Territories which pass through the main entrance to the park every day, morning to midnight.
